About Me
Hello!
Thank you for visiting my home page.
I am a coaching psychologist, existential coach, and qualitative
researcher specialising in interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA).
I work privately as a Being & Living Well coach for people interested in
exploring philosophically the self in the world.
I am also a qualified clinical aromatherapist offering advice for those who
want to use aromatherapy as a way of self-care.
My interest in coaching has grown from my experiences of involuntary childlessness. I am interested in exploring meanings in life, particularly when things you believed or hoped for did not go the way you expected. This is often experienced as a significant loss. What signifies a loss is very personal and differs from person to person. For me, it was the loss of hope to have children in life; I experienced miscarriage and unsuccessful infertility treatments and am living a life without the children I hoped for. My own devastating experiences, however, motivated me to go on the journey of self-exploration, and academically, I completed my PhD in 2019.
My PhD research was on the lived experience of involuntary childlessness and illustrated the complexities people experience around a significant loss. However, my exploratory study has highlighted how this loss can be turned into the power of being and living in everyday life, and this has given me the value and the necessity of creating a personally unique safe space to ponder big questions when they arise.
My mission now as your coach is to help you connect to your core values and turn your experiences into a deeper wisdom for your life.
Please get in touch if you want to know more about my coaching.
